#13 Tagging folksonomies & social bookmarking in Del.icio.us
Del.icio.us. appears to have alot of benefits if you want to organise your favorite web sites. It has the added bonus of allowing other people to share your sites through the use of Tags. At first i found the info on this site, especially the beginners guide completely unfathomable at least for me, but thank god for the easy to understand video social bookmarking in plain english.

Okay this i can see can be very effective in cutting down time to search the internet -good stuff!
library thing
I can see how this could be quite useful and fun to use as well. But once again you need the time to be able to do these things. I am just amazed at all the information out there-it's incredible!

news feeds
RSS is good way to keep up to date with a mass of information quickly and easily and relatively - once you know how to subcribe to them- fuss free. I can see how they will be useful in the library world keeping apace with what is going on out there in library land because sometiimes we can seem so isolated behind the circulation desk.
I personally probably wouldn't use it at work being a part-timer i don't have a great deal of spare to sit down and access all this stuff.

technology
Okay there are definately things that i like about technology e.g.
1. not having to use an old fashioned typewriter when typing essays etc
2. being able to search the internet for houses for sale and rent ( need this at the moment)
3. I don't really like emails because i feel pressured to answer them, however on the other hand if i don't want to ring up my sister, who talks for hours on the phone , i can just email her
4. i love the fact that my new mobile phone has a camera and i can take photos whenever and wherever i am
5. not to sure how i'm liking this blogging though.

mashups
really don't understand the blurb about what mashups is but i would like to create a mosiac that looks like fun, and a photobook would be great to create but i think i can do that by going to Harvey Norman, no? Anyway i had a play and to be honest with you can't see when i would use it- still.
